We’d like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of our staff and the Dronfield residents who donated to Pathways of Chesterfield’s Christmas Rucksack Appeal. Our partner, Jon Stevens, delivered the 15 rucksacks we collected to the charity’s headquarters just before the festive break.
Among our donations were rucksacks of various sizes, containing hats, scarves and gloves, toiletries, a sleeping bag and some clothes. Pathways had a terrific response to the appeal and are not only distributing the rucksacks to the street homeless, but also to sofa surfers and those constantly moving between temporary accommodation.
This is the fourth Christmas we’ve acted as a donation station for Pathways and each year, we are blown away by the generosity of local people. Thanks again to everyone who helped us make the festive season a little less bleak for those who sleep on the streets.
