Jon Stevens APFS
Partner, Chartered Financial Planner
Buying my first house in 2000 lit a fire in me to pursue a career in financial services. It made me realise how useful advice can be and how much pressure was being taken off my shoulders, whilst I was being educated in some of the risks.
I started studying in my own time and moved from the civil service into a bank and then to a support role with the Sheffield branch of a national firm of independent financial advisers. A change of firm led to my authorisation as a client facing adviser in 2006.
I joined Belmayne in 2015 and I am now a partner in the business, where I intend to remain for as long as possible. I aim to help people feel at ease and make informed decisions with confidence. It is rewarding to witness client journeys and to see the positive impact I can make.
I have always placed great emphasis on education and professional qualifications and have, therefore, attained Chartered status. Away from work, I am fortunate to have a wonderful partner, two amazing children and a season ticket for Sheffield United!
